Rob wants a what??

On a scale of 1 to 10, Rob's input into the decorations in our house registers at about a 0.03. And, for the most part, it's not me just steamrolling over everything he says - surprising, I know - it's just that he doesn't really care. (Except for the time I said no to painting his basement office in Michigan black. Like all the walls. Black. Which now reminds me of the other big fight we had when the ONLY opinion he ever had about our wedding was the bridesmaid dress color - he wanted Minnesota Vikings purple and yellow, which I promptly dismissed, and I don't think we talked for a few days after that one went down.)

So when Rob sent me a picture of a wreath - yes, a wreath - he saw somewhere and liked enough to actually stop, take a photo, and email it to me, I knew I had to come through for him. And as spending money on wreaths falls into the category of "pointless purchases" on his Quicken spreadsheets, I got crafty this afternoon and upcycled. (I am now typing with glue gun burns on my fingertips, if that gives you any indication of just how crafty I am. Or am not.)

Without further ado, I present ROB'S WREATH.

Silas, out of intense fear of this pine cone masterpiece, will now not use our front door. Ah well. It's give and take. (I'm totally pinning this on Pinterest. by the way - let's see how many suckers out there are duped by my craft skills...) *grin*

Blog update #1: As of 6:47pm, I have ZERO Pinterest repins
Blog update #2: Per Tash's request, here is the original photo Rob sent of the owl wreath rack:
This just discredits my wreath all the more...
